EVENTS TO HIGHLIGHT “CRITICAL” SUPPORT FOR ANGUS OVER-50s
The Office of Dave Doogan MP is partnering with several key organisations focused on supporting people over the age of 50, in a series of “50+ Fairs” across his Angus constituency.
The events, which will focus on cost-of-living, health and welfare support, are being delivered together with local MSPs, Graeme Dey and Mairi Gougeon, local Angus councillors, Citizen’s Advice, Welfare Rights, Reengage, Alzheimer Scotland, North East Sensory Services, Pensionwise and many other organisations.
Held in Kirriemuir, Montrose, Arbroath, Brechin and Forfar, the events aim to cover all of Angus, with support and advice available for over-50s, free of charge.
Commenting, Dave Doogan MP said:
“These are tough times for all of us, but especially so for over-50s, many of whom rely on a pension which stretches far too thinly while costs skyrocket.
I am delighted to be partnering with my colleagues in the Scottish Parliament and Angus Council, as well as so many incredible organisations who deliver critical support to over-50s every single day, across Angus and Scotland.
These 50+ Fairs will be open to all over the age of fifty, free of charge, and could help you, or a loved one, get the support you need in these tough economic times.”
