Dave Doogan MP has today congratulated Angus tennis player Charlie Robertson for winning Tennis Scotland’s Junior Player of the Year Award.
Charlie won his first International Tennis Federation junior title in Liverpool in November 2022, and rose to a career-high ranking of Number 67 in the world junior rankings at the end of March this year.
Local MP Dave Doogan has lodged an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons marking the success of the Angus athlete.
Commenting, Dave Doogan MP said:
“The phenomenal rise of Charlie Robertson to the forefront of Scotland’s tennis talent has been fantastic to witness.
Charlie has gone from strength-to-strength, and I want to extend my warmest congratulations to him, and to his family, for his success.
The House of Commons will now have the opportunity to show its’ appreciation for Charlie’s fantastic efforts, and I am certain we will see Charlie continue to excel in future.”
